Dean and Jenell sensed the call of God to plant Discovery Church in 2004 with a desire to reach the lost in North Las Vegas.  Dean is a graduate of Bethany University (B.S. ministerial studies) and Santa Clara University (M.A. Counseling/Psychology) and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He is also a state licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He volunteers as the Lead Chaplain for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.  His wife Jenell is an Analyst with the police department and they have 2 adult daughters.  Dean loves to golf and fish and Jenell loves to scrapbook.

Aaron and Danita Hansel have been in ministry for over 25 years with an emphasis on children’s ministry and community outreach. They planted and were the pastors of the Dream Center of Las Vegas in downtown Las Vegas for 16 years. They are also the founders of Be A Voice, which provides parental empowerment summits, men’s resources, and relief to many community partners that seek to end child exploitation and human trafficking. Aaron has his bachelor’s degree in religious studies and Danita has her bachelor’s degree in business administration. Aaron and Danita have been married 23 years and have two amazing children, Isaac who is 14 and Caleb who is 11.

Rick and Josanna have volunteered in ministry for over 20 years with an emphasis in music and youth. Rick has played drums professionally for nearly 30 years and is a licensed Sound and Video Engineer. He has also been involved in youth sports and for 30 years.  Rick is currently enrolled in Global University and it studying to obtain his credentials. Rick joined the staff of Discovery in March 2022. Josanna graduated from UNLV in 1996 with BA in Education with an empasis in Music and with minors in both Spanish and French. They have served on the worship team since they met back in 2003. Rick and Josanna have been married for 18 years and have five children and six grandchildren together.
