Dean and Jenell sensed the call of God to plant Discovery Church in 2004 with a desire to reach the lost in North Las Vegas. Dean is a graduate of Bethany University (B.S. ministerial studies) and Santa Clara University (M.A. Counseling/Psychology) and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He is also a state licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He volunteers as the Lead Chaplain for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Dean loves to golf and fish.
Dean and Jenell have two adult daughters who are married and four beautiful grandchildren. Jenell is a retired Human Resources Analyst with the police department now focusing on the grandkids and church. Jenell loves to decorate, scrapbook, and do bible art journaling. Jenell leads the women’s group meetings, coordinates the church media, and assists with organizing church events.
